About Adam Roth
Hello! My name is Adam Roth. I am a George Mason University student, majoring in Media Production with a minor in Graphic Design. I aspire to find a career in production, specifically postproduction, and dream of becoming a creative director in the future. I am proficient in Adobe products such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Outside of Adobe products, I have skills in camera operation, lighting, typography, creativity, and innovation, and I am always striving to learn new things.
I really enjoy everything about media production. For the past two years, I have been working at the Student Video Center here at George Mason University. I am surrounded by like-minded people and all the camera equipment I can think of. During the Fall semester of 2025, I had the honor to intern at FOX 5 DC, where I worked with the Creative Services Department, assisting with commercials, graphics, scriptwriting, news editing, social media, and much more. During my Spring 2026 semester, I interned with GMU's Student Media as a lead Videographer and Video Editor. Here, I worked on a wide range of projects, including photoshoots, recording and editing PSA videos, recording and editing live interviews, condensing long-form videos into social media posts, and more.
Back in January of 2025, I studied abroad in Nepal to create a short documentary on the positive and negative effects of tourism within the country. While in Nepal, I have learned a lot about recording documentary-style footage, writing scripts, working on the fly, and collaborating with my newfound friends. Now, I am working on one final documentary before I graduate, which focuses on the lack of representation of black people within graphic design history books. With this, I have spoken with multiple professionals on the project and interviewed them. It is expected to be released before May 2026 and will include a linear storyline, animation, and live interview sections. I am super happy and excited about it!
Outside of work and production, I enjoy spending time with friends, attending video game tournaments, going to the gym, and listening to music with my favorites genres being grunge and experimental music.
