About
At the Fourth Estate, I assisted with the video production visuals for George Mason University’s student-led newspaper. Here, I had a few projects, collaborating with them, creating a visual aid for their stories. This would include going on-site to events, getting footage of events, and interviewing people. Although they are strictly written news, I believe having unique videos for articles is always the best.
Student Body President Interview
The students at the Fourth Estate approached me and asked if I could record an interview with our student body president. They specifically wanted a simple video that captured his general thoughts on his time as the student body president here at GMU. For this, I figured out the logistics, scouted for a location, recorded, and edited the project while getting input from the Fourth Estate. Additionally, I created a promotional social media post. Ilia Olympics Watch Party
This project was about the GMU student, Ilia, and his participation in the 2026 Winter Olympics. He was projected to win the gold medal in the men's singles figure skating event; however, he unfortunately placed 8th. Through this piece, even though getting no direct interviews or spoken words in the video, I believe I covered the event's tone perfectly. There were a lot of people excited to see a GMU student succeed, but unfortunately, they fell short. Check out the video below. As well as a link to the Fourth Estates article here.
I was given credit as a videographer in their first newspaper print in six years! It was a great surprise by the people at Fourth Estate
