About the Project
This project was made as my final for my Graphic Design History class at George Mason University. The assignment was to create an aesthetically pleasing informative piece of art about a design that I believe should be in the history books; as a big Lance Wyman fan, I chose his iconic 1968 Olympic logo.

Designing
I ended up creating a booklet for this as I thought it would be a great physical piece to own and that it would look good on a coffee table. The book was printed on a normal 8.5x11 inch piece of double-sided luster paper. The final book dimensions are 5x5 inches, so four pages could be printed on one piece of paper.
I opted to use a wide variety of bright colors when necessary to follow the same style as Lance Wyman did; he used these colors as this was the first Olympics to be displayed on the color TV. An effective use of pictures were used to go along with the minimal but impactful text. Lastly, alternating lines are present throughout the booklet to fill in blank spaces but not look like they are taking over the page.

The front and back are designed together to make a very interesting cover to the booklet.
